Lost Ring Found and Harassing Calls

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

  • 8:36 a.m., a parent texted police about a man carrying a black bag and smoking a cigarette near the Eveleth School, thinking the man appeared suspicious. it turned out the man was sitting on a bench waiting for a counseling session.
  • 8:58 a.m., police received a call from Conant Road about an "$8,000 diamond Eternity wedding band lost sometime in the past 3 days. Ring is platinum encircled by diamonds and has no inscriptions in it. She has called the YMCA and other places where she has been in the past couple of days.  (The caller) called to say her mom came over to help her look and they found the ring in her jewelry box!"
  • 10:26 a.m., a package was reported stolen from an Atlantic Avenue location.
  • 3:36 p.m., police received a call from Maple Street about a missing person. The man had been agitated and was missing since 1:30 p.m. Marblehead police received a call from Swampscott police saying the man was at Salem Hospital. A Swampscott officer had found the man at Fisherman's Beach. He was transported to Salem Hospital. His wife was notified and she was heading to the hospital.
  • 8:29 p.m., a caller reported receiving harassing calls, texts and Facebook messages from parties at Brackett Place.
  • 10:23 p.m., a School Street caller reported receiving multiple harassing calls. The person who was making the harassing calls was contacted and told to stop the calls at once.
  • 10:46 p.m., police received a call about a woman walking in the middle of the street. A second call came in. The person said the woman was walking Shorewood, carrying a bag and crying and yelling. The woman was gone upon police's arrival.
  • 11:53 p.m., a car was repossessed at Market Square.
Thursday, Oct. 3
  • 4:29 a.m., a man was passed out in the back of a cab. He was transported to Salem Hospital.
