Marblehead Awarded $120K Information Technology State Grant

The grant is provided through the state's Community Compact Cabinet Information Technology Program.

MARBLHEAD, MA — Marblehead has been awarded a $120,000 state grant to improve and upgrade its information technology services.

The grant is through Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito's Community Compact Cabinet Information Technology grant program.

"The competition for funding was intense," the state said in announcing the grant to the Marblehead community. "Your application was chosen because it met the overarching goal of driving innovation and transformation at the local level via investments in technology."

A virtual award ceremony will take place at a later date.

"We are very fortunate to have received this grant — it was extremely competitive," Marblehead Town Administrator Jason Silva said. "A big thank you to (Marblehead Finance Director) Alison Nieto for leading this effort and preparing the application."
