Marblehead Extends Student Meals Program Through End Of 2020

All school-age children in Marblehead are eligible for the program has been extended to Dec. 31.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead Public Schools summer meals program has been extended through Dec. 31 due to the coronavirus health crisis.

Free meals are available to all school-age children in Marblehead.

Parents can order a freshly made lunch and breakfast pre-made for the next morning from the monthly menu here. Parents can place the order here with a parental or guardian valid email, the first and last name of the students and the student's local ID — those who do not know the ID or if their student is not enrolled in Marblehead can enter 000000.

Enter the school, the learning status (cohort, full remote, full attendance etc.) and any allergy or religious restrictions.

Those with multiple children at different buildings who want to pick up all the meals together should enter the same school building for each student regardless of where they attend.

Meals can be order up until 6 a.m. of the day they are intended to be picked up, but exceptions cannot be made for late orders due to reduced staff.

Pickup times while all students are in fully remote learning are from noon to 12:50 p.m. After the planned transition to hybrid learning on Oct. 5, meals can be picked up at dismissal until 12:20 p.m. if a student is in school, and from 12:25 to 12:50 p.m. for students in remote learning or in the cohort not in school that day.

Delivery is available for those parents experiencing a transportation hardship.
