Marblehead Fire Rescues Cat From High In Tree

The department's Ladder 1 spent 90 minutes coaxing the kitty down from its perch in the Clifton Heights Lane area on Monday.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A 90-minute mission to rescue a cat who climbed a tall tree in the area of Clifton Heights Lane and Atlantic Avenue resulted in a secured kitty in Marblehead on Monday.

Marblehead fire were looking for the owner of the grey and white domestic short hair cat, which climbed up to a high perch and refused to budge. An hour and a half later, Ladder 1 was able to bring down the climbing cat before Animal Control Officer Betsy Cruger took it to Atlantic Veterinary for evaluation.
