Marblehead To Halifax Ocean Race Date Set
The 37th yacht race is set to start on Sunday, July 9.
MARBLEHEAD, MA – The biennial Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race will start on Sunday, July 9.
According to the race website, the race is open to all yachts that meet the Notice of Race requirements and are accepted by MHORC. It's a qualifier for the Northern Ocean Racing Trophy for IRC yachts, the New England Lighthouse Series for PHRF yachts, and the ORR East Coast Championship.
Per the race website, the race stems from the historic trade between Nova Scotia and the "Boston States."
