Marblehead Looks To Fill Out Summer Beach Crew
The town is seeking parking gate operators and beach attendants for the upcoming season.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead Recreation and Parks Department is looking for seasonal help to fill out its beach crew at Devereux and Riverhead beaches this summer.
Full- and part-time parking gate and beach attendant work is available for weekday and/or weekend shifts. Shifts run from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
The positions will make sure that vehicles entering the parking area have the appropriate stickers and/or passes, ensure a safe and clean environment at the beach and enforcing beach rules. Work is done in all conditions, which may range from very hot to stormy and cool days.

Those applying must be able to work under pressure and work quickly when needed. Some weekends and holidays may be needed.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and the ability to effectively and tactfully communicate with others is important. Employees must be able to calmly and reasonably assess complex situations under pressure and deal with caustic people in an appropriate manner and resist being drawn into confrontational situations.

Those hired must be able to spend hours standing or sitting in various weather conditions and could be required to carry up to 50 pounds or more.
