Marblehead Physician Honored With Excellence Award

MARBLEHEAD, MA – Susan Moynihan, M.D., was given the 2016 North Shore Medical Center Department of Medicine Excellence Award for her clinical excellence and commitment to mentorship.

Moynihan is a primary care physician and the NSMC residency program's director of outpatient medicine. Her practice is at the North Shore Physicians Group office on Widger Road in Marblehead.

According to a news release from NSMC, Moynihan's colleagues nominated her for the award, and came out in full force to support her at the 10th annual dinner meeting and lecture, where she was honored.

"Susan is a gifted teacher and a role model not only for our interns and residents, but for all outpatient physicians at NSMC," said Dr. David Roberts, NSMC's chair of medicine. "This well-deserved honor reflects the high esteem in which her colleagues hold her, along with Susan’s deep commitment to high-quality patient care."

Moynihan has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. She is board-certified in internal medicine, and graduated from Stanford University's school of medicine. This is the 10th NSMC Department of Medicine Excellence Award.
