Marblehead Police Department Mourns Passing of Former Officer
Craig Cole was also a decorated Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.

Craig Cole, a former Marblehead police officer, died on Friday after a battle with GBM brain cancer at the age of 65.
Cole was an officer with the Marblehead Police Department from 1973 until he transferred to the Palm Beach, Florida police department in 1987.
Cole also worked in East Brady, Pennsylvania where he served as Police Chief. He also served as a federal police officer at the VA in Butler, PA for ten years until his retirement.

A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Craig served in Vietnam from 1968 - 1970. Craig was awarded the Purple Heart. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Campaign Medal, Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal 1st Award.
“Craig was a native son of Marblehead and was a credit to the profession of policing,” the Marblehead Police Department wrote today on its Facebook page.
