Marblehead Police logs: Man Yells Racist Slurs at Dunkin Donuts

MARBLEHEAD, MA - The following are excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Monday, Dec. 11 and Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Monday, Dec. 11

  • A caller reported a Toyota Rav 4 leaking fuel on Prince St.
  • A Lynn man was stopped for making a turn on red where prohibited on Tedesco Street. After a police investigation, he was arrested for driving without a license.
  • A painting company owner reported that a middle aged white man started yelling slurs at him and his mostly-Latino crew while they were at the Dunkin Donuts in Village Plaza. According to witnesses, the man is balding, in his mid 50's and drove a white SUV.
  • A Waldron Ct. resident walked into the Marblehead Police station to make a statement regarding a past assault. After an investigation, it turned out to be a neighbor dispute.
  • A Central Street resident called to tell police someone dumped an office chair on her property.
  • A caller reported locking her keys in her running car while delivering packages.
  • A Marblehead resident reported having their parked car hit on Tioga Way. No note was left.
  • Police responded to School Street for a car accident involving an elderly man who hit a parked car.
  • A man walked in to the Marblehead Police station to report a lost Garmin watch, which reportedly went missing at the Back the Track 5k run.
  • A Gilbert Heights Road resident called police to report seeing a man and a woman on her back deck earlier in the morning. When asked who they were, the man and a woman, who were holding clipboards said they were surveyors.
  • Fire crews were called to extinguish a fire at Crosby's Market on Washington Street. According to police, a user manual caught on fire.
  • An Atlantic Avenue business owner called police to complain about a man who shoveled their sidewalk without being asked and then demanded money.
  • A Pleasant Street resident reported losing a copy of her citizenship paperwork.
