Marblehead Police: Possible Shots Fired Early Tuesday Morning

Police said they have evidence that gunshots were fired in the area of Willow Road and Village Street about 3:30 a.m.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead police are looking for anyone who can provide information on "two loud bangs" heard in the area of Willow Road and Village Street early Tuesday morning.

Police said the bangs occurred about 3:30 a.m. and "investigating officers have recovered evidence that indicates the possibility of the discharge of a firearm."

Police said there were no injuries reported.

Anyone who happened to be in the area at that time and saw something out of the ordinary, or who woke up to a sound that "could have been mistaken for a vehicle driving over a steel construction plate in the street" is asked to call Marblehead police at 781-631-1212.
