Marblehead Police Seek Information On Disturbing Graffiti
Anti-Semitic graffiti using "disturbing language" was found on the wall of the Causeway on Friday.
MARBLEHEAD, MA – A kayaker called police on Friday evening after spotting graffiti on the harbor side of the Causeway wall on Ocean Avenue. The graffiti consisted of racially offensive, anti-Semitic, "extremely disturbing language," and a pro-Trump message according to a statement from Marblehead Police.
Police are asking that anyone with information related to the graffiti call Marblehead detectives at 781-631-1212. There will also be a gathering on Monday, July 4, at 10 a.m. at Riverhead Beach in Marblehead for stakeholders to unite against the criminal act.
One part of the graffiti disparaged Congressman Seth Moulton, another Bernie (possibly Bernie Sanders), and another alluded to a widely debunked conspiracy theory. It also included President Donald Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again."

Officers dispatched to the scene got help from the Marblehead Harbormaster in viewing and documenting the graffiti from the water. The Essex County Sheriff and Marblehead Public Works helped remove the graffiti from the wall.
There was also similarly offensive graffiti in Seaside Park, but it's unclear if the two incidents are related, according to Marblehead Police.
