Marblehead School Dismisses Early Due To Water Problem
Plumbing work that went awry shut off water to the Village School on Tuesday morning.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Village School students headed home from school early on Tuesday due to a plumbing issue at the school.
Marblehead Schools announced midday that a valve was turned off for a plumbing repair in the morning and could not be turned back on in the school. As a result, running water was not working in the building.
"For health and safety reasons we will be dismissing Village School students this morning at 11:00," the district announced. "All other buildings will remain open and operational."

Cohort B students were the ones in school on Tuesday as part of the town's hybrid learning schedule.
Important message for Village School Cohort B families. While some work was being done to a plumbing system this morning, a valve was turned off for the repair, which cannot now be turned back on. As a result, running water in the building is not operable.
