Marblehead Students Honored For Academic, Athletic Achievement
Marblehead students made their marks at Clarkson University, the University of Kentucky, Colgate University and other schools.
MARBLEHEAD, MA – A Marblehead native named a Presidential Scholar at Clarkson University was among the town residents receiving academic and athletic recognition in recent weeks.
Jack Charles Garrett, a senior majority in electrical engineering at Clarkson, was named the Presidential Scholar for the 2020 semester.
Presidential Scholars at Clarkson must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

Hannah Kleinman was recognized as one of 300 candidates for degrees during a virtual 2020 commencement on Dec. 4.
Kleinman was recognized for earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.

The University of Kentucky honored students who have either earned their degree or who have applied to graduate.
Louisa Gould, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2020, has earned the spring 2020 Dean's Award with Distinction.
Gould is a sociology major and a graduate of Marblehead High School.
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the spring 2020 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.
Simpson College shooting sports club student-athlete Molly Sheehan was named the college's Athlete of the Week for the period ending Nov. 17.
Sheehan, a graduate of Marblehead High School, finished second in the female high overall score at the SCTP Iowa Conference meet on Nov. 14. The senior tallied an overall score of 234 and hit 91 targets out of 100 in skeet. Simpson ended third with a team score of 1,222.
