Marblehead Winter Storm: Snow Overnight Parking Ban Issued
Marblehead canceled after-school activities and issued an overnight parking ban ahead of a forecast of 3 to 6 inches of snow.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead Public Schools canceled all after-school activities, including sports, Tuesday ahead of a winter storm forecast to drop 3 to 6 more inches of snow on the North Shore.
An overnight parking ban was also issued starting at midnight and running through 7 a.m. Cars that are left on the street are subject to being ticketed and towed.
If a vehicle is towed, contact Bill's Towing at 978-745-2087 to make arrangements to get it back.

"Drive safely and don't forget to shovel out your hydrants," the town said. "Help your elderly neighbors if you can."

Snowfall was expected to begin between 8 a.m.-10 a.m. in central Massachusetts and 10 a.m.-noon in eastern Massachusetts. It's expected to continue for about 12 hours, with the heaviest of it coming between 2 p.m.-7 p.m.

North and west of Boston are under a winter storm warning and expected to get the worst of it. Places like Worcester, Amherst, Lawrence and Newburyport are looking at 6-8 inches.

The "Stop the Spread" free drive-thru coronavirus testing at Salem High School Tuesday night was canceled. Free testing continued at the walk-in site at Salem's Old Town Hall during the day.
