Marblehead's Jack Garrett Earns Top Award At Clarkson University
Garrett was chosen for the Levinus Clarkson Award that celebrates one of the top two students in Clarkson's graduating class each year.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Graduating senior Jack Garrett, of Marblehead, was honored with one of Clarkson University's highest student awards at this year's commencement ceremony.
The school presented Garrett with the Levinus Clarkson Award as one of the top two seniors in his class.
The award was established by University founders Elizabeth and Frederica Clarkson in memory of their brother, Levinus, and was first awarded in 1909.

Garrett earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in electrical power engineering, and minors in sustainable energy systems engineering, project management and mathematics.
A presidential scholar for all of his semesters at Clarkson, Garrett had a 3.95 grade-point average. He was a member of Clarkson's academic, leadership, mathematics, engineering and electrical engineering honors societies. He was also the vice president and electrical engineering lead for the Formula Electric SPEED team and helped establish the Institute for Electrical and Electronics student branch at the school.

He was named a John W. Estey Outstanding Scholar as one of only seven recipients of that honor throughout the United States and Canada.
The school said Garrett now plans to move to Lappeenranta, Finland to pursue his master's of science in electric engineering at LUT University after receiving the Fulbright-LUT University Graduate Award.
