Neighbor Threatens Neighbor With Snow Shovel

Tuesday, Dec. 17
8:02 a.m., police received a report of a lost pink wallet on Saturday, possibly in Swampscott.
9:01 a.m., police were dispatched to Atlantic Avenue in response to a vehicle's broken rear window.
10:49 a.m., a walk-in to the police station requested, in writing, the town-wide sex offender registry.
1:51 p.m., a minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Union Street.
2:08 p.m., two motor vehicles were parked in a restricted area on Atlantic Avenue and Barnard Street. One was ticketed and the other moved along.
2:13 p.m., police received a report of parents swearing at a resident on Haley Road when she asked them to move motor vehicles from a no parking zone.
2:45 p.m., a mother reported that her daughter fell three times on an icy sidewalk in front of the school on Pleasant Street. The mother asked that sand and salt be put down to prevent falls. Police notified the school and DPW.
5:32 p.m., a caller reported an open manhole on Harbor Avenue.
7:30 p.m., disturbance on Evans Road Ext. A party reported that a neighbor across the street threatened him with a shovel. The neighbor reportedly threatened to bash the man's head in. The dispute was over snow.
7:42 p.m., police charged Robert Cormier, 63, of 52 Brookhouse Dr., Marblehead with vandalizing property.
11:07 p.m., a Whittier Road caller reported that he was frightened by a coyote, and he was hiding under his porch. The man was advised to come out, and make noise while heading for his house. The man stated he had to put his snowblower away.
