Police Alerted to Medicare Scam Call
Information like your date of birth, social security number, account numbers, passwords and the like should never be shared with people you don't know and trust.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The Police Department was alerted by a resident yesterday that they received a call from someone stating that they were Medicare and were updating information for their records.Â
This was a scam and the person who received the call did exactly the right thing and hung up after giving NO information and then called us.Â
Remember, government organizations, your bank etc. NEVER call you and ask for that information over the phone. When in doubt, hang up and then look up the number yourself and call them back. Never give any information over the phone without being 100% certain of who you are talking to.
