Police Ask For Help With 'Shocking Animal Cruelty'

Marblehead police said a turtle and rabbit have been found with arrows in them this week.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Police are asking for help after finding two animals with an arrow in them in the same part of town this week.

Marblehead police said on Facebook a turtle was found Monday with an arrow in it. The turtle, which was located around "The Path," was brought to the Turtle Rescue League in Soutboro.

On Thursday morning, a rabbit was found with an arrow in it in a nearby area. The rabbit is still on the loose.

The animals were found in the general area between the electrical substation and the Tower School.

Police called it "shocking animal cruelty" and are asking for anyone with information on the person(s) involved or the rabbit to call 781-631-1212.
