Plumber Suffers a Serious Cut

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

  • 8:53 a.m., a wire was down on Smith Street, possibly a telephone line.
  • 9:22 a.m., two plumbers sustained cuts at a Farrell Court location. One plumber cut a hand; and the other plumber cut an arm. One of them was on the ground and bleeding badly and transported to Mass General Hospital. OSHA was called to the scene.
  • 11:08 a.m., a Schooner Ridge woman told police she had received a call from someone who said the handyman she had hired had said she was an easy mark because she lives alone.
  • 11:32 a.m., a bench was reported stolen from Grace Community Church some time over the weekend.
  • 1:57 p.m., a vehicle's window was smashed on Pleasant Street.
  • 2:59 p.m., police received a report of a hit and run over night on Washington Street.
  • 3:02 p.m., the harbormaster reported finding a table on the Crocker Park dock. The table was moved to the harbormaster's building for safekeeping.
  • 3:58 p.m., a road rage incident was reported at Tedesco Street and Maple Street. A person in a car was yelling for another vehicle's driver to pull over and the driver did so. It looked like an altercationwas going to take place. Police responded and there were no vehicles pulled over in the area.
  • 9:02 p.m., Swampscott police advised that someone was using a flashlight looking in someone's back window on Nason Road. The man was located near the railroad tracks and might be walking the tracks.
