Three Arrests and Broken Windows

The following information came from the Marblehead Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, July 30

  • At 7:53 a.m., police ticketed a car parked in a space reserved for handicapped parking on Front Street.
  • At 1:16 p.m., Central Fire announced it was conducting its annual fire drill.
  • At 1:44 p.m., a passerby reported people swimming at Grace Oliver's where a no swimming sign is posted.
  •  At 3:57 p.m., a Sagamore Road caller asked for a well being check on a relative she has not seen for three weeks. The relative, it turned out, was in Middleton Jail.
  • At 4:01 p.m., a Washington Street store owner reported that a man was stealing alcohol.
  • At 6:04 p.m., a Hawkes Street caller reported feeling threatened by her landlord, who is friends with a person she has restraining order filed against.
  • At 8:41 p.m., a child was injured in a skateboard fall at Skinners Patch and was transported to the hospital.
  • At 10:57 p.m., police charged Lorenzo Price, 20, of 131 Front St., Marblehead on a non-Marblehead warrant for a default.
Wednesday, July 31
  • At 9:10 a.m., a person walked in to the police station and reported that a person had shot out windows at the Lower Bell School with a BB gun.
  • At 10:18 a.m., an Oak Street caller reported seeing seeing scam pavers in town.
  • At 12:36 p.m., an Atlantic Avenue caller reported finding what she believed to be a human brain on the beach. It turned out what she found appears to be bait from a lobster trap.
  • At 4:59 p.m., police charged Joseph Green, 51, of 42 Commercial St., Marblehead with shoplifting and resisting arrest.
  • At 5:14 p.m., police charged Sam Mastronardi, 18, of 43 Gulf drive, Port St. Lucie, FL on a Marblehead warrant.
