A seven- member crew started unrolling artificial turf at Piper Field on Monday.
The placement, stitching and infilling is expected to take up to two weeks, according to the project foreman, Timucin Karca, from Atlanta, Georgia.
Once the job is done the field will immediately be ready for play, he said.
