Volunteers Needed for Marblehead Festival of Arts

In particular, individuals with financial and print production experience are needed.

The Marblehead Festival of Arts will celebrate a milestone in 2015, and it needs some volunteers to continue to ensure its success.

“This year we are celebrating our 50th year and preparing the organization to continue for many more years to come,” said Festival President Bill Smalley in a press release. ”As part of our efforts we are looking for help in a couple of key areas, first, financial management to help direct the various aspects of the festival as our treasurer and second, print and production management experience that can guide our ever expanding operations that support events and public communications. If you are looking to volunteer time to a worthwhile organization, the festival is a great place to volunteer.”

According to the press release, the festival is a non-profit organization for which volunteers handle every aspect of event planning and execution throughout the year.

When it comes to the festival’s financial operations, a contemporary bookkeeper familiar with various forms of income such as donations; product and ticket sales; advertising and expenses like rentals, technical services and print materials is needed to work with a finance committee and treasurer that are already in place.

The festival also has extensive print and production needs for its events and exhibits. Volunteers accustomed to working with posters, pamphlets, fliers and programs are needed.
