2 Marlborough Families Get Funds From Cops For Kids With Cancer
A nine-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy, both suffering from cancer, received $5,000.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Two Marlborough families got some help and support from the Cops for Kids with Cancer program, each family getting a $5,000 check from the Marlborough Police Department.
Agencies nominated the families to receive the money, which was presented to them at a ceremony this week at the police station, to which they were given a police escort.
Nine-year-old Rebecka Almeida and her parents Amelia and Jose Almeida accepted their check, the money used toward Rebecka's battle with Osteocarcoma of the maxilla. She was diagnosed with cancer this year. James Landry, 2, has T-Cell Leukemia, also diagnosed this year. His parents Stephanie Mamulski and Jay Laundry accepted the donation at the ceremony.
