2 Water Main Breaks Reported In Marlborough

Residents in two area of Marlborough could be without water for up to eight hours.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Two major water main breaks in Marlborough Tuesday morning had either reduced or cut off water service in two separate parts of the city.

According to Marlborough officials, a break was affected a shopping plaza near 796 Boston Post Road East. The second break had cut off service to residents along Hosmer Road between the Hudson line and Stevens Street.

Miles Standish Drive from Hosmer to Simpson Road was also affected by the second break, officials said.

Hosmer Street was also closed due to the emergency repair work. Memorial Beach was open as usual, but residents were advised to get there using Causeway Street.

City officials said the two breaks could take up to eight hours to repair.
