Ashland Man Charged After Failing To Register As Sex Offender

Marlborough police arrested Ryan Hanrahan, 30, on Wednesday afternoon along Route 20.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — An Ashland man with several previous criminal charges was arrested this week in Marlborough after he failed to register as a sex offender, according to police.

Police stopped Ryan Hanrahan, 30, along Lakeside Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, according to the police log. He was arrested at the scene.

In 2019, Hanrahan, of Eliot Street, was charged with armed robbery after prosecutors said he forced his friend to take money out of an ATM at gunpoint. He was previously charged with indecent assault in 2009, according to court records.

Hanrahan was previously registered as a level 2 offender, according to the sex offender registry.
