Assabet After Dark Cosmetology Program Commences in January

Students learn basic theory for the first 300 hours in the classroom, practice techniques on mannequins, and observe demonstrations.

MARLBOROUGH, MA - For 36 years, individuals seeking a career in cosmetology have been successfully earning the required 1,000 hours of training stipulated by the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology in the Assabet After Dark program. Utilizing the beautiful full-service salon/classroom at Assabet, the local tech school, students are taught the same curriculum as any other licensed cosmetology program, at substantial savings.

Students learn basic theory for the first 300 hours in the classroom, practice techniques on mannequins, and observe demonstrations by instructors and guest cosmetologists. Then the focus shifts to real world experience with clients in a clinical setting under the supervision and guidance of licensed instructors and professionals. Students prepare to pass the State Licensing Written and Practical Exams, as well as learn real world salon skills in both customer service and reception desk management. The program uses state-of-the-art Management Software.
