Assabet HS Basketball Player Scores 1000th Point
Nicole Lento scored her 1000th point in a win over Monty Tech, Lento is on track to be the all time leading scorer at Assabet HS.
From Assabet Valley:Nicole Lento, a senior in the Business Technology program at Assabet, achieved a milestone as she scored her 1,000 th point for the Lady Aztecs in a 59- 47 win over Monty Tech last week. Lento knew going in that she needed 15 points, and clearly her teammates were counting, because as the ball cleared the hoop, they all gatherer around for hugs. The game was stopped by Athletic Director, Terry Riley, so that she could give Lento balloons and flowers. By the end of the game, Lento had actually scored 29 points, which now leaves her in another position to hit another record. She is just 16 points shy of being the Lady Aztecs all-time leading scorer. With four games left in the regular season, it looks promising!
