Barbara Hildreth, Active in Community Theatre and Longtime Marlborough Resident, Dies at 83

Hildreth worked for many years as a secretary at Marlborough Savings Bank.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Barbara P. Hildreth, 83, of Marlborough, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough. Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Prouty) Parker. She was raised and educated in Southborough and was a 1950 graduate of Peter’s High School.Barbara worked for many years as a secretary for Marlborough Savings Bank prior to her retirement.

She was active in community theater when she was younger and has been a resident of Marlborough for many years. Barbara is survived by three children, Beth Dacey and her husband, Brian, of Boston, Philip DiBuono and his wife, Kerry, of Marlborough and Toni DiBuono-McGrath and her husband, Michael, of Bloomfield, NJ; three grandchildren, Ann Marks and her husband, David, Sara Dacey and Kathleen McGrath and one great-grandchild, Ingrid Marks. Barbara was predeceased by two siblings, Jacqueline Bruno and Ralph Parker.

Services and burial in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston, will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, Marlborough.
