Brewery Shakeup In Marlborough: Tackle Box, Strange Brew Close
The Strange Brewing space along Route 20 will close, forcing the new Tackle Box Brewery to relocate.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — One the area's oldest beer businesses will close soon, taking the city's newest brewery with it.
Strange Brew Home Brew announced on Tuesday morning that it would close and sell off its remaining inventory, according to Mass Brew Bros. The company had its own brewery inside a large space at 416 Boston Post Road East, but also sold brewing supplies. Tackle Box Brewery, located inside the same space, will close too.
Tackle Box, owned by Adam Krasinski, cousin on actor John Krasinski, opened in early October. The brewery was hosting bands and other events through the weekend before the unexpected closure.

"We’re sorry. Our deepest apologizes. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are temporarily closed. We will let you know when we reopen," Tackle Box wrote on its Facebook page.
The two breweries operated on opposite sides of a space that used to house a laser tag park. Strange Brew opened in Marlborough more than 20 years ago.
