Carol McCarthy, Lifelong Marlborough Resident, Dies at 70
McCarthy , an IT specialist for TJX, loved to travel.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Carol M. (Koukourlis) McCarthy, 70, of Marlborough, MA, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge, MA. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. and Rita (Koukourlis) McCarthy.
A lifelong Marlborough resident, she had been employed for many years as an IT specialist for TJX, retiring in 2011. Carol loved to travel,visiting Aruba and Maine and was very close with her family, especially her late sister Rena F. Tsaousis, who died In February of 2016.
She is survived by her son, Francis J. McCarthy of Marlborough, her nephew, Anthony Edwards and his longtime companion Sharon DiGiralamo of Douglas, her niece, Mary Tsaousis of Hudson and many cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5-7 at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Don Braswell will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Program, Cancer Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline Ave, Boston, Ma 02215
