Celebrate Presidents' Day With Annual Book Blast
Marlborough kids, and those from surrounding communities, are invited to discover the magic of reading.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The 12th Annual Book Blast gives kids a chance to discover the magic of reading and let their imaginations take them on an exciting journey.
The event, which takes place on Monday, Feb. 15, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Solomon Pond Mall (JC Penney Court), features stories that include “Flakes and Flurries” by Josepha Sherman, the “How I Became a Pirate” series by Melinda Long, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle and more.

Special guests read the stories including staff from retailers Crazy 8 and Smilistic Dental, as well as author of the book Weekends with Daisy, Sharron Luttrell (with her dog Samurai), and educator Audra Guimond from Laurel Learning Services.
Between each reading, children will have the opportunity to take part in interactive activities that bring the stories to life.
