David Suter, Longtime Marlborough Resident, Dies At 64
Suter was a machinist in Waltham, custodian in Wayland and a member of the Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Obituary via Willam R. Short and Son Funeral Home: David R. Suter, 64, died Saturday December 9, 2017 after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Sharon (McGurk) Suter. They were married for 34 years. He was born in Waltham, the son of the late Russell and Josephine (Rodier) Suter and lived in Marlborough for the last 34 years.
Mr. Suter worked as a machinist at Central Machine in Waltham for many years. He then went to work as a custodian at the Wayland Middle School in 1997. Suter was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marlborough where he sang in the choir. He was a former member of the Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band and volunteered with FISH Medical Transportation Services , giving seniors rides to doctors appointments.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters; Judy Delaney of Marlborough and Nancy Scott of Waltham, one niece and many nephews.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough.
