Dorothy Falconi, Longtime Marlborough Resident, Worked at Diamond Shoe

Dorothy (Morris) Falconi age 88 and long-time Marlborough resident died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her residence.

Born in Bristol, Rhode Island on May 2, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Botelho) Morris and the wife of Alfred S. Falconi to whom she has been married to for 68 years. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on August 18th.

Dorothy worked for the former Diamond Shoe Company in Marlborough until 1960 when she opened her beauty salon at her home. She retired at the age of 80.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.

Along with her husband she is survived by her daughter Brenda Hendrickson and her husband Richard of Marlborough, her grandchildren, Brian Smith of Marlborough, Mark Smith of Shrewsbury and Derek Hendrickson of Marlborough as well as their wives, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Alice Kasaras of Marlborough, MA and Evelyn Entwhistle of Monaco, PA, she was predeceased by her brother Eddie Morris.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough. Visiting hours on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery, Southborough
