Family Fun Festivals Coming to Ghiloni Park
The next Saturdays in the Marlborough park are packed with fun, for free.
The first Family Fun Festival was a huge success, to organizers decided to keep them going.
There will now be Family Fun Festivals in Ghiloni Park in Marlborough on Aug. 22 and 29.

Hosted by the River’s Edge Arts Alliance, these family friendly themed festivals take place from 1-4 p.m. with an exciting lineup of performances and activities.
On Aug. 22, the Building Festival features “Trash to Tunes,” an interactive demonstration of homemade instruments that will begin at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m., enjoy a kite demonstration, and all children will be able to build their own kite. The Building festival will also feature numerous Lego Building activities by Bricks4Kidz for all ages from 1-4 p.m.

The Growing Festival takes place on Aug. 29 and features The Toe Jam Puppet Band at 1 p.m. followed by the Vegetable Circus at 2 p.m.. Musician Wayne Potash performs at 3 p.m. From 1:30-3:30 come get up close with baby barnyard animals.
To round out the fun, each festival is accompanied by a themed art project. Each festival will also include free face painting and balloon twisting from 1:45-3:45 p.m.
In the case of rain the Festivals will move to the Marlborough Senior Center at 40 New St. Family Fun Festivals are sponsored by the City of Marlborough and the Ezra M. Cutting Trust.
