Food Drive In Marlborough Following Success Of MLK Day Event

A food drive this weekend the next in a series planned by the Marlborough Democratic City Committee .

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Following a successful food drive during the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, the Marlborough Democratic City Committee (MDCC) is planning a second drive this week.

The Saturday drive will benefit the Community Cupboard and will be one of four the MDCC drives this year. The committee plans to hold four drives each year for the foreseeable future.

"Thanks to the generosity of our residents, the first effort brought in more than a ton of food and personal care items, along with more than $500 in gift cards for the Community Cupboard,"
MDCC Chair Dan Caruso said in a news release. "The need is still great, so we’re asking the community to step up again and help our neighbors in need."
