Gas Leak Evacuates Residents, Closes Streets In Marlborough
Eversource is on the scene and residents have been evacuated.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Several streets in Marlborough closed and residents were evacuated shortly after 11 a.m. due to a gas leak on Thursday.
Brigham Street, between Clover Hill Rd and Leoleis Drive, was closed for a gas leak, said Marlborough police. As a precaution, some of the residents in the area were asked to leave.
The assistant fire chief told WCVB-TV News that the gas leak occurred when a paving crew working at the corner of Gunnar Drive and Leoleis Drive nicked the corner of a gas line.

Fire Chief Kevin Breen told MetroWest Daily News that the leak, and repair, was a "pretty standard thing"and that the incident had been stabilized shortly after noon.
Gas service was shut off, and as of noon, Eversource was still on the scene, monitoring the repaired leak.
