The Massachusetts Health Connector, the state's Health Insurance Exchange, has launched its open enrollment period for 2021, running until Saturday, January 23rd. The 2021 enrollment period allows residents to apply for health and dental insurance. The Health Connector also offers an extensive array of resources to those who have questions or need additional guidance on the application process. One of those resources, a free webinar, will be offered on Wednesday, January 13th, at 4:00 pm for residents to discuss the application and tips to complete the process. To register for this event, please click here. Additionally, a video library of recent Health Connector presentations is available for those who cannot attend the live session. Furthermore, the Health Connector provides one-on-one assistance and has put together a question guideline for those navigating the application process.

In addition to encouraging residents to enroll in insurance coverage, the Commonwealth requires face masks or cloth face coverings in all public places, both indoors and outdoors, even when maintaining 6 feet of distance from others. Mask-wearing is a proven method to mitigate the risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19. The Mask Up Massachusetts campaign has provided a fact sheet on mask-wearing tips. "I was happy to participate in the national 'Get Covered America Day’ campaign, to show our residents that now more than ever it is critical to protect ourselves and others by wearing a mask and enrolling in health insurance coverage," said Representative Danielle W. Gregoire (D-Marlborough), House Chair of the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight.
