I-495 Ramp In Marlborough Closing This Week

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The I-495 Simarano Drive exit in Marlborough will close overnight on Thursday so MassDOT can conduct bridge repairs, according to the agency.

The closure of exit 23C on the northbound side of I-495 begins Thursday at 8 p.m. and will end by 5 a.m. on Friday, according to MassDOT.

"During the temporary off-ramp closure, motorists will be directed to exit Interstate 495 northbound at exit 24B (Route 20 westbound, Northborough) and follow the detour signage in place to reverse direction onto Interstate 495 southbound," MassDOT said in a bulletin.

The bridge repair work is weather-dependent, according to MassDOT.

There's also a three-week detour in place for Walker Street in Marlborough. City crews are replacing a water main in that area.
