Jerome Rubin, Served in WWII, Dies at 87
This Marlborough resident was an architect in a large firm that was responsible for a large hotel chain in Miami beach.

Jerome Rubin, 87, of Marlborough, MA, formerly of Merrick, NY, Sunday, March 15, 2015. Born in New York City, April 12, 1927, he was the son of the late Morris and Helen (Clark) Rubin. He was the beloved husband of Mimi (Steber) Rubin; the loving father of Pete Rubin and his wife, Judy of Cleveland, OH, and Julie Goldberg and her husband, Paul of Arlington, MA; the cherished grandfather of Aaron and Lisa; the dear uncle of several nieces and nephews and trusted friend of many. Jerry served in the Army during WWII and held a degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
He was an architect in a large firm in New York City for several years prior to partnering in his own firm, Held and Rubin, in East Meadow, NY. He was responsible for a number of projects and clients, including a popular hotel chain in Miami Beach and nationwide with Lowes Theaters and Hotels.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, at 1:00 PM at the Duckett – J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 20) SUDBURY. Interment will follow at the Independent Golden Crown Cemetery, 19 Washington St., Woburn, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerry’s memory may be directed to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 or via www.pcf.org.
