Man Arrested In Marlborough For Assault, Wild Driving
Police arrived to find the 22-year-old Westborough man speeding around a parking lot.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough police arrested a Westborough man over the weekend after an assault and a bout of bad driving along the Boston Post Road.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday when police responded to near the Walgreens at Farm Road and say they found Brandon Cruz-Gonzalez, 22, speeding around in circles in the parking lot. Police also learned that someone had been punched in the face nearby.
Officers were able to stop Cruz-Gonzalez, who they say admitted to drinking and driving. The person who was assaulted refused medical treatment, police said.

Cruz-Gonzalez was arrested and charged with assault and battery, negligent operation of a vehicle and operating under the influence, according to police.
