Maple Street Construction Begins In Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH, MA—The reconstruction of Maple Street started on Monday, June 18.

Officials say to expect heavy delays during the day as the contractor begins this extensive project.

Maple Street/Route 85 is being completely reconstructed by MassDOT, a major roadway reconstruction project to alleviate issues caused by increased traffic volume and a lack of pedestrian accommodations.

"This won’t be an easy time for travel on Maple Street, but in the end, travelers will have a safer and more friendly roadway," said the announcement.
