Marathon Bombing Survivor Dies Of 'Sudden Illness' at 37
Kevin White and two of his family members survived injuries sustained at the Boston Marathon bombing. Kevin died 'unexpectedly' this week.

BOLTON, BOSTON, MA - Kevin White, who, along with his parents, survived serious injuries he sustained during the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, died earlier this week. Initially, a cause of death was not indicated.
Kevin White, from Bolton, died of a “sudden illness,” according to a message posted by his brother Andrew on the Marathon Coalition website on Wednesday.
“I am deeply sorry to share this sad news in such an impersonal manner- Kevin passed away from a sudden illness this past weekend,” wrote Andrew. “He will be missed, and the world will miss all of the experiences he had yet to have. Our family wanted to share the news with all of you who have crossed paths with him over the last three and a half decades.”

A service is being held at St. Francis Xavier in Bolton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, followed by a reception at the Lodge at the International Golf Course at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the White family asks that donations be sent to the Greg Hill Foundation in his name.

“Kevin ran the Boston Marathon as a member of the foundation for the past two years, and had just begun practice runs again a few weeks ago,” wrote Andrew.
