Marlborough Coronavirus Testing Site Moves To Hospital

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The longstanding Stop the Spread testing site at the New England Sports Center is shutting down and moving to Marlborough Hospital, according to UMass Memorial Health.

The testing site change takes effect June 1, and the new hours for testing will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon, according to Marlborough Hospital.

The New England Sports Center, along with all other sports facilities across the state, was able to open without restrictions on Saturday.

The free, state-sponsored Stop the Spread testing, which began last July, is available at 35 sites across the state and will be around until at least the end of June, according to officials.

As of Friday, Marlborough was down to 25 active coronavirus cases citywide, which is one of the lowest numbers since last fall. The citywide positive test rate was around 1.86 percent.
