Marlborough Halfway Café Closes After Sale
The Halfway Café has been a fixture along the Boston Post Road for more than 20 years.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A longtime Marlborough restaurant closed its doors this week, according to the owners.
The Halfway Café, 820 Boston Post Road East, has been open in Marlborough for more than 20 years offering diner and pub fare in a cozy atmosphere. In a Facebook post Thursday, the owners said the closure comes after they received a good offer on the property.
"First off we’d like to sincerely thank Marlborough and all the surrounding communities for 23 years of loyal support," the post said. "It's been a great ride. However, everything has a beginning and an end. We received an offer we couldn't refuse, and thus we have decided to sell our Marlborough location. Due to labor and shortages we were forced to close the restaurant earlier than anticipated."
