Marlborough Hospital Moves Coronavirus Vaccinations To Marriott

The new COVID-19 vaccine site in Marlborough is open to all state residents.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A new coronavirus vaccine site open to all state residents opened on Monday in Marlborough.

Marlborough Hospital moved its COVID-19 vaccine operation to the Courtyard Marriott along Felton Street, according to the Health Department. That coincides with Mayor Arthur Vigeant's announcement last week that the city was going to be home to a mini mass vaccination site at the Felton Street Marriott.

There were no appointments available at the site as of Wednesday afternoon, but the state typically adds numerous vaccine appointments on Thursday mornings. The site will be open weekdays, according to the state's vaccine website.

As of Wednesday, any state resident who is either over age 65 or has two or more specific medical conditions is eligible for the vaccine. Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Wednesday educators would become eligible beginning on March 11.

The Marlborough Hospital site is so far the only COVID-19 clinic in Marlborough. The CVS locations in Maynard and Hudson are offering vaccines, as is the Wegmans in Northborough.
