Marlborough, Hudson Will Hold Joint Hazardous Waste Day
You'll be able to drop off everything from air conditioning units to pool chemicals during the May event.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough and Hudson will hold a joint household hazardous waste day event in May at the Easterly Water Treatment Facility.
Residents will be able to get rid of a wide variety of items, from old appliances to oil paint and other types of chemicals. Marlborough and Hudson police will also be on hand to collect unwanted prescription medicine.
However, a range of items will not be accepted at the event including:

- Asbestos
- Explosives
- Drums
- Latex/acrylic paint
- Medical waste
- Large appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc.)
- Items containing PCBs
- Radioactive materials
- Tires
- Unlabeled materials
The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon on May 22 at the treatment facility located at 860 Boston Post Road. The event is only open to Marlborough and Hudson residents, and anyone who attends will need to provide proof of residency.
