This Marlborough pitcher got himself a perfect game in the Babe Ruth league.
MARLBOROUGH, MA—The last time a major league pitcher threw a perfect game was in 2012. According to Baseball Reference, Felix Hernandez of the Seattle Mariners threw the perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. No major league pitcher has thrown two.
That ought to put into perspective how difficult it is.
A Marlborough pitcher did just that on Monday when Jonah Hintz struck out seven and allowed no hits in a win over Milford in the Central Mass. Senior Babe Ruth game, reports Marlborough Wicked Local. Hintz threw 77 pitches.
