Marlborough Will Increase Water, Sewer Rates In July
The cost of water in Marlborough will rise about 3.5 percent compared to the 2020 rates.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — The cost of water and sewer service in Marlborough will rise slightly when the new 2022 fiscal year begins on July 1.
Rates will increase about 3.5 percent for water service for city residents, and almost 5 percent for city sewer service. Here's a look at the new rates compared to the rates that went into effect on July 1, 2020.

2022 in-city rate: $7.61 per 100 cubic feet
2021 in-city rate: $7.35 per 100 cubic feet
2022 out-of-city rate: $7.99 per 100 cubic feet
2021 out-of-city rate: $7.72 per 100 cubic feet

Sewer service
2022 in-city rate: $8.03 per 100 cubic feet
2021 in-city rate: $7.67 per 100 cubic feet
2022 out-of-city rate: $8.43 per 100 cubic feet
2021 out-of-city rate: $8.05 per 100 cubic feet
