Marlborough's Color Killer Youngest Ever To Play Warped Tour
The band started as a trio playing a middle school talent show in 2017.
MARLBOROUGH, MA—Stemming out of a Whitcomb School talent show in the Spring of 2017, the trio that formed a band is now a rocking young quartet called Color Killer.
Led by Lincoln, who is eight and going into the fourth grade, on vocals and guitar, he is joined by Dylan, 12, on rhythm guitar, Nate, 12, on vocals and bass, and Matt, 10, on drums.
Color Killer began playing shows in August of 2017 and has grown since then, writing its own music and bringing the sound to Worcester, Boston and Springfield. One of band's songs, "Down With Winter," has more than a million views on YouTube. The band was interviewed on the Hill-Man Morning Show on WAAF on July 11, during which the band played songs live on the air. Color Killer will also hold the distinction of being the youngest band to ever play on the Vans Warped Tour when it plays in Mansfield on July 27. A documentary is currently being filmed about their road to the Vans Warped Tour by Ironbound Films.

"Nate, Lincoln, and Dylan are all neighbors and started playing as a band just to play together," Dylan's mom Christine Huther told Patch. "Music was something they all loved and they decided to start a band. After the talent show in 2017 at Whitcomb, Matt approached the band about playing drums."
The band's sound is described as pop punk, inspired by bands such as Green Day, Blink-182, and some local bands such as After the Black Out, Marko and the Bruisers and The Prozacs.
