MetroWest Boys & Girls Clubs Seeks Board Members

New members will be picked in March to oversee programs serving Marlborough, Framingham and other local communities.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest (BGCMW) is preparing to select new board members at an upcoming March meeting, and is seeking new applications — including for a new committee focused on equity and diversity.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest serves more than 6,200 children and youth each year from across the MetroWest region. As part of a focused effort to diversify the Board and ensure that Club leaders truly represent the community being served, the Club is looking to connect with individuals who may be interested in joining the Clubs’ Board of Directors and newly established Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

Ideal candidates live or work in the MetroWest region, are looking to help the Clubs fulfil its mission of serving youth who need us most, are willing to commit to a three-year term and are able to attend monthly meetings to discuss Club operations, funding, strategy and impact.

Interested individuals should visit the Board of Directors page on www.bgcmetrowest.org and complete the interest form. Or you can call the Club at 508-485-4912 and ask to speak with the Resource Development office. All interest forms are due back to the Club by March 1, 2021. Selected individuals will be voted onto the Board at the Club’s Annual Meeting on March 23, 2021.
